Bozeman Montana real estate has seen a phenomenal year in 2015. As you made your way around the Gallatin Valley this year it was very evident that there was no shortage of Bozeman homes for sale. From one end of the valley to the other, one could see that construction was happening on every street corner, real estate signs were everywhere & the real estate guides were filled with offerings. A huge sigh of relief could be heard as our good citizens could finally receive long awaited equity from their homes to make a move up, move across town or across the country. The number of sales were at an all time high. We are even experiencing a shortage in inventory. With increased demand the prices have risen and the days on the market were down to approximately 84 days. The average price for Bozeman real estate was approximately $446,700.
Gallatin Valley properties were on an upswing across the board. Including the market for luxury homes in Montana. Whether you were moving across town or a newcomer from across the globe the real estate market was fast & furious. Low interest rates assisted buyers nicely. This time around there seems to be a confidence in buying & selling as folks now need to have a greater investment in their purchases.
We are lucky & we do not take that for granted. Our area has experienced a greater recovery than some areas around the country. Our location certainly doesn’t hurt, flanked by two ski hills, Bridger Bowl to the north & Big Sky resort to the south. We are the largest town north of our famous neighbor beautiful Yellowstone National Park. We have been discovered and have made numerous lists, the latest being the Los Angeles Times’ Top 16 Must See Destinations in 2016. We live in Big Sky country and Big Sky real estate is mighty popular these days.
Whether you are looking for a condo overlooking downtown, a rustic home nestled in the trees, a new home in one Bozeman’s newest neighborhoods or a classic Victorian in the historic district, it can be found. Bozeman horse properties are ever popular, nothing describes Montana living like a few acres of wide open spaces and a four legged friend to take you on a trail ride.
Ringing in the new year there will be many new listings coming on the market. Many opportunities lie in wait. With a grateful heart I love my real estate career and it is always a privilege to serve your real estate needs. There’s no place like home!
Happy Trails Jean!
